Certification of top 500 largest private enterprises in VIETNAM

Received the title of top 500 largest private enterprises in Vietnam
The ceremony of awarding the certificate of 500 largest private enterprises in Vietnam 2017 solemnly held in Hanoi on 19/01/2018.
The announcement ceremony attended by leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, leaders of the National Financial Supervision commission, ambassadors, Trade commissioners of countries and international organizations such as Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office; Leaders of the People’s Committees of Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa province…together with domestic and foreign economic experts, prestigious press and media agencies, and more than 400 typical representatives from large enterprises in Vietnam.
Within the framework of the event, Vietnam Report also announced the list of the Top 50 Vietnam the Best 2017, which are excellent and outstanding enterprises in VNR500 in 2017. At the same time, with purpose of recognizing the achievements of prestigious companies on the stock exchange, companies in the pharmaceutical industry, tourism & travel industry, Vietnam Report also honored Top 10 prestigious listed firms, Top 10 pharmaceutical companies of Vietnam and Top 10 prestigious travel companies of Vietnam in framework of the ceremony this year. The honored names are all important pieces in the prosper picture of Vietnamese economy in 2017, with remarkable achievements.
On occasion of the 11th VNR500 Announcement Ceremony and in the context of the world economy is constantly changing in the wave of 4.0 industrial revolution, Vietnam Report officially launched the Annual Report: the bilingual White Paper of Vietnam’s economy in 2018 with the theme “Digital economy and Start-up Nation”. This report shows that Vietnam has available bases such as favorable geopolitical position, young population and a high proportion of the population using the Internet, the economy is entering into a prosper period, the consensus of the Government as well as the business community, and the initial implementation has been effective. However, according to a survey of Vietnam Report with VNR500 business community, many enterprises still do not attribute importance and deploy digital technology in the operation of firms. The two biggest reasons for enterprises hesitating to apply technology in the digital process are due to the requirement of large investment capital (40.6% of respondents) and lack of high quality human resources (35.9% %). In circumstance of the ongoing 4.0 industrial revolution on a global scale, developing the digital economy in Vietnam is an indispensable trend that will open many opportunities for the business community. However, in order to take advantages which help Vietnam reaching closely to prosperity and sustainable development, business initiative is necessary and needs to be deployed rapidly, along with supports of strategy, policy, legal from the Government.
